Job summary

Expect A Star is partnering with NSW schools to provide emergency and casual education support for secondary students. The role involves one-on-one and small group assistance for students with ADHD, behaviour and other needs, with collaboration across school teams.

Immediate start for term 4, 2026, with block booking options. The position may lead to permanent opportunities as schools require ongoing support and staffing continuity.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in School Based Education Support or equivalent qualifications.
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Two professional referees.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
• Support students with additional needs including behavioral, physical, social and emotional support.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to promote engagement and wellbeing.
• Encourage participation and independence in classroom activities.
• Support the implementation of individual learning plans and behavior strategies.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, staff and families.

• You will be supporting a small group of Secondary years students witheducation support (e.g. ADHD, behavioural, etc)
• Expect a Star is working closely with the Department, Independent and Catholic schools, to support with their emergency CRT/educator and Full-time needs. We are liaising directly with the School Principals to select and assign high quality Primary and Secondary generalist teachers when their needs arise.

The Role:
