Expect A Star in New South Wales is seeking a Casual Educator to support children aged 0-5 across Wollongong and surrounding areas. You will facilitate learning experiences and work collaboratively with other educators to implement engaging programs.

This role offers flexible shifts, opportunities to cover lunch breaks and leave days, and travel to nearby centres as needed. A long-standing agency dedicated to professional growth supports your development in early childhood education.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the learning experiences for your allocated group of children
• Collaborate with fellow educators to develop and implement inspirational educational programs
• Cover lunch breaks, sick days and annual leave days for permanent staff
• Assist in observation and recording of children’s development
• Explore different centres and philosophies and pick up new skills

The Role:

Work alongside a range of educators as you care and educate Children aged from 0-5

• Facilitate the learning experiences for your allocated group of children
• An ability to work collaboratively with fellow educators to develop and implement inspirational educational programs.
• Be a lifesaver for the permanent educators by helping covering lunch breaks, sick days and annual leave days
• Participate and support educators in the observation and recording of children’s development
• Explore different centres and philosophies and pick up new skills.

What you need:

• To be actively studying towards yourCertificate III qualification in Early Childhood
• APaidNSW WWCC
• National Child Safety certificate
• Basic food handling certificate
• Availability for at least 2 days, and sometimes at short notice;
• Be willing to travel 30+ minutes on a regular basis
• Passionate educators with strong communication skills;
• Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work in new teams.
