Job summary

Expect A Star is seeking Casual Certificate III / Diploma Educators to join the Penrith area, offering flexible shifts and agency pay rates. You will work with children aged 0–5, supporting learning experiences and collaborating with fellow educators.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III or Diploma in ECEC, NSW WWCC, and are available for at least two days with regular travel. Opportunities exist to transition to permanent staff within the agency.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC).
• Availability for at least 2 days per week, including short-notice shifts.
• Be willing to travel around 30+ minutes regularly.

Responsibilities

• Support educators in caring for children aged 0–5.
• Assist in implementing educational programs with the team.
• Cover lunch breaks, sick days and approved leave for permanent staff.

The Role:

Work alongside a range of educators as you care and educate Children aged from 0-5

• Facilitate the learning experiences for your allocated group of children
• An ability to work collaboratively with fellow educators to develop and implement inspirational educational programs.
• Be a lifesaver for the permanent educators by helping covering lunch breaks, sick days and annual leave days
• Participate and support educators in the observation and recording of children’s development
• Explore different centres and philosophies and pick up new skills.

What you need:

• A Certificate III / Diploma in ECEC
• APaid NSW WWCC
• National Child Safety Certificate and basic food handling certificate
• Availability for at least 2 days, on short short notice;
• Be willing to travel 30+ minutes on a regular basis
• Passionate educators with strong communication skills;
• Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work in new teams.
