Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland's Latrobe region is seeking an ED Ward Clerk on a casual basis. The role supports patient admissions, transfers and discharges, handles data entry and records, and provides frontline customer service in a fast-paced Emergency Department.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate information, contributing to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication and telephone skills.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.

• Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality administrative support, including data entry, document management, filing and general office administration.
• Process patient admissions, discharges and transfers accurately while maintaining patient records and supporting post-admission requirements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming patients, visitors and staff and responding to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate patient information and support reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with clinical, admissions and support teams to facilitate efficient patient flow and service delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a positive, team-focused culture within the Emergency Department.
