Job summary

Scope Aust is hiring Casual Disability Support Workers for SIL services in Colac, Portland, Hamilton and Warrnambool. You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living and health routines, and promote independence in a collaborative team.

Orientation is paid and ongoing training and development opportunities are available. Flexible shifts include mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights and weekends.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check are required.
• Level 2 First Aid & CPR certification is mandatory.
• Full Victorian driver’s licence is required.
• Australian working rights are essential for employment.
• An international police check may be requested (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence.
• Follow behaviour support strategies, routines and safety procedures.
• Support participants with daily living, personal care and health routines.
• Assist with community access and participation.
• Use calm communication and de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern.
• Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans.
• Maintain clear documentation and effective team communication.

We are seeking Casual Disability Support Workers across a number of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation services in Colac, Portland, Hamilton, or Warrnambool.

About the role:

• Provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence
• Follow behaviour support strategies, routines, and safety procedures consistently
• Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines, and community access
• Use calm communication and effective de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern
• Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the wider team
• Bring patience, reliability, and a calm, supportive approach to every shift

What you'll need:

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and overnight (active/sleepover).
• Ability to travel to work in Colac,Colac, Portland, Hamilton, or Warrnambool.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check.
• Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Full Victorian driver’s licence
• Valid Australian working rights and international police check (if applicable).
