Job summary

Scope Aust in Colac (Victoria) is seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living services across Colac. You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living, health routines, and community access while following care plans and behaviour support strategies.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including overnights, with the ability to travel to Colac is essential. ND SP and WWCC checks are required along with Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work varied shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, overnight).
• Travel to Colac for shifts as needed.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check required.
• Valid Australian working rights and, if applicable, international police check.

We are seeking Casual Disability Support Workers across a number of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation services in Colac.

About the role:

• Provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence
• Follow behaviour support strategies, routines, and safety procedures consistently
• Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines, and community access
• Use calm communication and effective de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern
• Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the wider team
• Bring patience, reliability, and a calm, supportive approach to every shift

What you'll need:

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and overnight (active/sleepover).
• Ability to travel to work in Colac.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check.
• Valid Australian working rights and international police check (if applicable).
