Job summary

Individual Me is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join the Queensland team at Sahar House, Burpengary East. You will support participants in their home and community to build independence and make choices about everyday life.

Key requirements include a Certificate III or higher, NDIS Worker Screening clearance, First Aid/CPR and a valid driver's licence. Casual shift work, including afternoons, sleepovers and weekends, is offered with SCHADS pay based on classification.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support, preferably in SIL
• Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• Current driver's licence and insured vehicle
• Medication assistance and manual handling skills
• Availability for afternoon, sleepover and weekend shifts

Responsibilities

• Support participants in home and community to promote independence
• Assist with personal care, daily living routines and meal prep
• Encourage participation in activities reflecting participants' interests
• Follow individual support plans and behaviour support plans
• Provide medication assistance within training and authority
• Complete progress notes, incident reports and shift handovers
• Collaborate with participants, families and the support team
