Individual Me is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join the Queensland team at Sahar House, Burpengary East. You will support participants in their home and community to build independence and make choices about everyday life.

Key requirements include a Certificate III or higher, NDIS Worker Screening clearance, First Aid/CPR and a valid driver's licence. Casual shift work, including afternoons, sleepovers and weekends, is offered with SCHADS pay based on classification.

Responsabilités

Experienced Disability Support Workers wanted for casual shifts at Sahar House, Burpengary East. Support independence and everyday choice with Individual Me.

Individual Me is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our Queensland team at Sahar House, our Supported Independent Living (SIL) setting in Burpengary East.

We’re looking for reliable, respectful people who take the time to understand each participant and provide support that reflects their needs, preferences and goals.

About the role

You will support participants in their home and community, helping them build independence and make choices about their everyday lives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting personal care and daily living routines with dignity and respect.
• Assisting with meal preparation, household tasks and community access.
• Encouraging participation in activities that reflect each participant’s interests.
• Following individual support plans and any applicable behaviour support plans.
• Providing medication assistance within your training and authorisation.
• Completing accurate progress notes, incident reports and shift handovers.
• Working collaboratively with participants, families and the support team.

About you

You bring practical disability support experience, sound judgement and a calm, person-centred approach. You communicate clearly, respect professional boundaries and understand the importance of dependable support in a shared home.

We are looking for:

• Previous experience supporting people with disability, preferably in SIL.
• A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• A current driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Confidence assisting with personal care and following individual support plans.
• Medication assistance and manual handling skills relevant to the role.
• Availability for afternoon, sleepover and weekend shifts is essential.
