Job summary

Scope in Wangaratta is seeking a Casual Disability Support Worker to assist customers with daily living, personal care and community access. You will work across shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and sleepovers, with a paid orientation and ongoing training.

Applicants should have a Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent, a full VIC driver’s licence, and applicable checks (NDIS, Working with Children, police).

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance required or willing to obtain.
• Working with Children Check required or willing to obtain.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Full VIC Driver’s licence.
• International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas for more than one year in the last ten years.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to help customers achieve their goals and maintain their independence.
• Support customers with daily living activities, personal care, health routines and community access.
• Follow support plans, behaviour support strategies and safety procedures.
• Use calm communication and positive approaches when responding to behaviours of concern.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Be reliable, patient and committed to delivering high-quality support.
