Job summary

Lutheran Disability Services is seeking compassionate Casual Support Workers to provide person-centred care during the 2026/2027 holiday period in Adelaide. You’ll support daily living activities, promote independence and inclusion, and collaborate with families and professionals to meet individual goals.

Successful applicants will attend Assessment Centre on 8 or 15 October 2026, followed by induction on 12–13 November 2026; flexibility and reliable availability across the holiday period are

Qualifications

• Compassionate and reliable individuals with a client-centred approach.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to work across the 2026/2027 holiday period.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and meal preparation.
• Support clients in accessing community resources and services.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and families.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to help clients achieve personal goals.
• Document client progress and report changes in health status to the team.
• Maintain a safe environment by following health and safety protocols.
• Engage in regular training to stay updated on best practices.
