Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Experience with challenging behaviours.
• Experience in personal care or support services preferred.
• Background in community services, nursing, or social work advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Support clients in accessing community resources and services.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other professionals to meet specific needs.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to help clients achieve personal goals.
• Document client progress and report changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate team members.
• Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols, reporting hazards, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in disability support services.
