Job summary

Endeavour Foundation in Rockhampton is seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to people with complex disability needs across Rockhampton and surrounding areas.

You will follow individual support plans and PBSPs, assist with personal care and medication support, and help clients participate in community activities while promoting independence, safety and dignity. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with disability and complex support needs.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or related qualification would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and PBSPs.
• Ability to follow individual support plans and document progress accurately.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred support to people with complex disability support needs.
• Following individual support plans and PBSPs.
• Responding calmly and consistently to behaviours of concern using agreed strategies.
• Supporting people to build independence and daily living skills.
• Assisting with personal care, manual handling and medication support where required.
• Supporting participation in community, recreational and social activities.
• Building positive relationships that promote choice, dignity and inclusion.
• Completing accurate progress notes, incident documentation and other required records.
