Job summary

Maven Dental Maroochydore, part of the Abano Healthcare Network, is seeking a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join the team. The role combines chairside assisting with front desk duties, including patient welcome, diary management and enquiries.

Shifts are casual with varying hours week to week, offering exposure to general, restorative and cosmetic dentistry within a supportive practice environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental procedures.
• Confidence on reception, bookings and payments.
• Warm interpersonal skills and clear communication.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational habits.
• Experience using EXACT dental software.
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients at reception and handling general enquiries.
• Managing appointments, bookings and patient recalls.
• Processing payments and maintaining patient records.
• Providing chairside assistance across general, restorative and cosmetic procedures.
• Preparing treatment rooms and assisting clinicians during appointments.
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
• Following infection control procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
• Supporting stock control and day-to-day practice tasks.
