Job summary

Maven Dental Maroochydore is seeking a casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. The role covers both chairside assisting and front-desk reception, welcoming patients, managing the diary, and handling enquiries.

You will assist clinicians during general, restorative and cosmetic appointments, prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and maintain patient records. Shifts vary weekly with flexible availability, and experience with EXACT software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental procedures
• Experience with reception duties: bookings, enquiries and payments
• Strong attention to detail and organisational habits
• Experience using EXACT dental software
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and handling enquiries in person and over the phone
• Managing appointments, bookings and patient recalls
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
• Providing chairside assistance across general, restorative and cosmetic procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and assisting clinicians during appointments
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
• Following infection control procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment
• Supporting stock control and other day-to-day practice tasks
