Job summary

Maven Dental Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast is hiring a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist. The role covers chairside assisting and front desk reception, welcoming patients, managing the diary and handling enquiries.

Ideal candidates will have dental assistant experience, reception skills, and comfort using EXACT dental software. Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting is advantageous. Flexible, varied shifts and a supportive team within the Abano Healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental procedures.
• Confidence with reception duties including bookings, enquiries and payments.
• Warm interpersonal skills and calm communication.
• Strong attention to detail and solid organisational habits.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and handling general enquiries in person and over the phone.
• Managing appointments, bookings and patient recalls.
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Providing chairside assistance across general, restorative and cosmetic procedures.
• Preparing treatment rooms and assisting clinicians during appointments.
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
• Following infection control procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment.

Maven Dental Maroochydore – Maroochydore QLD

We're looking for a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join us at Maven Dental Maroochydore, in a role that covers both chairside assisting and reception.

You'll assist our clinicians through general, restorative and cosmetic appointments, and also spend time at the front desk welcoming patients, managing the diary and handling enquiries. It's a good fit for someone who enjoys variety and likes being across both sides of the practice.

As this is a casual position, shifts will vary from week to week and flexible availability is required.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients and handling general enquiries in person and over the phone
• Managing appointments, bookings and patient recalls
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
• Providing chairside assistance across general, restorative and cosmetic procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and assisting clinicians during appointments
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
• Following infection control procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment
• Supporting stock control and other day-to-day practice tasks

To succeed in the role, you will bring:
