Job summary

Maven Dental Maroochydore is hiring a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to cover both chairside duties and front-desk responsibilities. You will welcome patients, manage the diary, handle enquiries and assist clinicians across general, restorative and cosmetic appointments.

The role is casual with varying shifts; flexibility is required as weeks can differ. Join a busy, local practice within the Abano Healthcare network and gain broad exposure across clinical and reception tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Confidence on reception, including bookings, enquiries and payment processing.
• Warm interpersonal skills and clear, calm communication.
• Strong attention to detail and solid organisational habits.
• Experience using EXACT dental software.
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and handling general enquiries in person and over the phone.
• Managing appointments, bookings and patient recalls.
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Providing chairside assistance across general, restorative and cosmetic procedures.
• Preparing treatment rooms and assisting clinicians during appointments.
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
• Following infection control procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
• Supporting stock control and other day-to-day practice tasks.
