Job summary

St John of God Geelong Hospital is seeking Enrolled/Registered Nurses for the Day Surgery Unit on a casual basis. The role supports pre- and post-operative care across diverse specialties, with shifts Mon-Fri between 6:30 AM and 9:00 PM.

You will be registered with AHPRA as an RN and have a minimum of 2 years in Day Surgery. The unit handles ~80 cases daily in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safe, high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans, deliver and evaluate patient care, with support from senior staff.
• Promote effective communication and teamwork within the department and hospital.
• Provide patient education and act as a resource to staff and students.
