Job summary

St John of God Geelong Hospital is seeking casual Enrolled and Registered Nurses to join our Medical, Surgical and Inpatient Units. You will provide direct, patient-centred care across a range of clinical environments, working with a supportive multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Casual shifts are available across various wards, including AM, PM and night shifts, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Your Position at St John of God Geelong Hospital

We are seeking passionate and motivated Enrolled & Registered Nurses to join our Medical, Surgical and Inpatient Units at St John of God Geelong Hospital on a casual basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Nurses looking for flexibility, variety and the opportunity to work across a range of clinical environments. You will care for a diverse patient cohort across our medical, surgical and inpatient wards, gaining exposure to a broad range of specialties and patient presentations.

Working alongside experienced and supportive multidisciplinary teams, you will have the opportunity to utilise and further develop your clinical skills while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

Casual shifts are available across a variety of wards and may include AM, PM and night shifts , providing flexibility to suit your availability.

The Position

• Provides direct, comprehensive and patient-centred nursing care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures and Care Paths.

• Works collaboratively with patients, families, medical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve positive clinical outcomes.

• Assists with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for allocated patients.

• Demonstrates sound clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, recognising and escalating changes in patient condition as clinically appropriate.

• Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation and communicates relevant patient information effectively during handover and throughout the patient journey.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will hold current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse and have recent experience within an acute medical, surgical or inpatient hospital environment.

You will bring strong clinical assessment, communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A flexible approach to working across different wards and shifts is essential.

The Benefits:

• Enrolled Nurse casual hourly rate: $42.50 to $50.74 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus12% superannuation

• Registered Nurse casual hourly rate: $53.90 to $68.03 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
