Job summary

St John of God Geelong Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join 2 North, a 30-bed Orthopaedic and Urology surgical ward in Geelong VIC. The permanent part-time role offers a rotating day/night roster with flexible hours.

You will care for postoperative patients, provide education, and contribute to a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Applicants should hold current AHPRA registration and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Orthopaedic and/or urology nursing experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking guidance from senior staff as needed.
• Promote effective communication and teamwork across the department and hospital.
• Provide patient education and act as a clinical resource where appropriate.
• Support and supervise staff and students, including orientation and preceptorship of new staff.
• Contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives and high-quality patient care.
