Job summary

St John of God Geelong Hospital is seeking a collaborative Registered Nurse to join 2 North, a 30-bed Orthopaedic and Urology surgical ward. This permanent part-time role involves rotating day and night shifts as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality patient care across a surgical journey.

Experience in orthopaedic and/or urology nursing is advantageous; current AHPRA registration is essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in orthopaedic and/or urology nursing preferred.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and provide patient education.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, delivers and evaluates patient care with support from senior staff.
• Promotes teamwork and effective communication within the department and hospital.
• Provides patient education and acts as a clinical resource when appropriate.
• Supports and supervises staff and students, including orientation and preceptorship.
• Contributes to achieving hospital objectives and high-quality patient care.
