Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) seeks a Casual Case Support Worker/Cultural Mentor in the Wodonga/Wangaratta region. The role supports cultural wellbeing, social and emotional development for Aboriginal children in care, strengthening ties to family, community and Country.

You will provide culturally safe, practical support to children, young people and carers, with a focus on identity and positive outcomes within a child-protection framework.

Qualifications

• Commitment to VACCA's vision and purpose.
• Strong connection to Community and Culture.
• Experience mentoring young people.
• Engagement with Aboriginal families and children.
• Understanding of Child Protection and out-of-home care.
• Ability to support children with complex needs.
• Ability to plan and run activities and information sessions.
• Valid Police Check and Victorian WWCC (or willingness to obtain) and driver licence.
