VACCA seeks a Cultural Mentor to support Aboriginal young people in care, strengthening their connection to culture, identity, community and Country.

You will work with Key Workers and Team Leaders, provide culturally informed mentoring, and deliver flexible sessions, including some evenings and weekends, to meet young people’s needs.

Applicants must have a Police Check, Working with Children’s Check, a valid Driver Licence, and a commitment to Aboriginal self-determination.

Competenze

• Valid Police Check (National Police Record Check)
• Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee
• Current Victorian Driver Licence
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)

• Walk alongside Aboriginal young people in care to strengthen their connection to culture, identity, Community and Country.
• Work closely with Key Workers and Team Leaders to support each young person’s journey and progress.
• Provide updates on progress and contribute to positive outcomes, with flexible sessions including evenings and weekends.
