Minor Hotels' Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort is seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes across all sections, maintain cleanliness and safety, and support the team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

This role offers hands-on learning under a professional kitchen, with flexible shifts including weekends.

Qualificações

• Relevant Certificate III in Cookery and previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine.
• Understanding of HACCP and Workplace Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to coach and motivate less experienced kitchen team members.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes across all sections of the kitchen.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Take initiative to develop culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment.
• Support less experienced team members when required.
