Job summary

genU in Geelong is seeking a casual chef to join our hospitality team in a large-scale production kitchen. You will prepare high-quality meals, support a diverse workforce and contribute to daily operations across multiple sites, with regular ongoing shifts.

We offer a casual 6am–6pm schedule, a commitment to food safety and customer service, and opportunities to grow within a values-driven, profit-for-purpose organisation. Trainings provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate may be required.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Availability to work across 6:00am–6:00pm Monday to Friday.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals in a large-scale production kitchen.
• Support and mentor employees in a diverse team.
• Assist with menu development, food preparation and stock control.
• Maintain food safety, quality and hygiene standards at all times.

Education

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Current driver's licence and reliable transport

Availability to work across 6:00am–6:00pm Mon-Fri

Experience in a commercial kitchen environment

Strong communication skills and commitment to quality customer service
