Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District’s Tamworth Hospital is seeking Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to work across multiple wards, offering rotation across departments or development in a specialty you’re passionate about. Join a friendly, supportive team dedicated to guiding and empowering you on your nursing journey.

You won’t be working alone. You’ll have supernumerary shifts to support learning, with ongoing support from ENs, RNs and the Nurse Unit Manager.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III Assistant in Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and first semester or trimester of second year), or currently enrolled in a TAFE NSW Diplomas of Nursing (completion of identified foundational units in practice AND 120 hours of clinical placement).

Tamworth Hospital is the principal referral hospital for the northern sector of Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD), servicing a population of over 180,000 people. As a major rural referral facility, Tamworth Hospital provides a wide range of specialist services, including emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, critical care, mental health, rehabilitation, and outpatient services.
