About the opportunity
Tamworth Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Supported Introduction to Cardiac Care Program, providing a structured and supportive pathway for Registered Nurses to develop their knowledge, clinical skills and confidence in cardiac care.
As a participant, you will spend six months in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) and six months in the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (CCL), gaining valuable experience across both inpatient and procedural cardiac care. The position reports to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) of the CCU and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, with day-to-day support and clinical guidance provided by the experienced CCU and CCL nursing teams.
You will work part-time or full-time rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights and weekends, as applicable to the clinical area.
We are looking for Registered Nurses who are motivated, passionate and committed to providing safe, compassionate and high-quality care.
Previous cardiac nursing experience is not essential. The program is designed to support Registered Nurses to develop their cardiac knowledge and skills through structured education, supervised clinical practice and mentoring.
