Job summary

Croydon Park Veterinary Clinic is seeking a friendly Casual Animal Attendant to support our hospital during the busy holiday period (Dec–Jan). You’ll help keep the clinic clean, care for cats in the cattery, and assist with feeding and basic medication under supervision.

This hands-on role suits someone practical, punctual and able to multi-task in a small team. Previous animal care experience is essential; shifts are 8am–1pm, two per week, with public holiday coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with animals; in a veterinary clinic, cattery or kennels.
• Available to work two shifts per week (8am-1pm) and willing to work on public holidays as required
• Positive, enthusiastic and motivated, with a genuine pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
• Highly organised, reliable and hardworking
• Excellent at managing their time and juggling multiple tasks
• Adaptable, proactive and confident using their initiative
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Someone who takes pride in doing things thoroughly and to a high standard

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital.
• Look after the cats staying in the cattery and ensure they are fed and given medication if required.
• Work busy, active and multi-tasking throughout your shift.
• Support the veterinary team with general duties as needed.

Croydon Park Veterinary Clinic has been an integral part of the community for over 30 years. Our team enjoys building relationships and our caring approach allows us to understand our client's needs. We've become a trusted practice ensuring the health and well-being of our patients and building strong connections with their owners. Located in the picturesque inner-city suburbs of Sydney, Croydon Park is the hidden gem of the inner west with a village atmosphere.We are a small animal hospital that currently offers a full range of medical and surgical services, a free wildlife service and cat boarding. We are making necessary changes to our practice, which will include new equipment and a refurbishment for a fresh, new look.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated, friendly and reliable Casual Animal Attendant to join our team over the busy holiday period (December-January) and help keep our veterinary hospital clean and attending to our cats in our clinic cattery.

This is a hands-on role where no two shifts are quite the same. Working behind the scenes, you'll help maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital, look after the cats staying in the cattery and ensuring cats are fed and given appropriate medication (if required). You'll be busy, active and multi-tasking throughout your shift. We pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of patient care, veterinary excellence and customer service, and every member of our team plays an important part in achieving this.
