Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a dedicated Aged Care Home & Community Assistant for Mornington Peninsula. The casual role involves travelling between client homes to provide in‑home care so older Australians can live independently.

Shifts are 7am–7pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekends; travel is reimbursed at 1.01 AUD per km. The role requires a Certificate III in Ageing/IND Support, a valid Australian driver’s license, good communication, and First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similar.
• Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with third‑party insurance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• First Aid and CPR certificate (must be obtained prior to employment).

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance such as light cleaning and meal preparation.
• Assist with personal care including showering and monitoring health.
• Support community access to medical appointments and social activities.
• Help clients with daily tasks and routines and build relationships with families.
