Life Without Barriers is hiring an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant to provide personalised in‑home support to older Australians in Mackay. You will travel between clients’ homes, with a kilometre reimbursement of 1.01 per km while working.

Casual shifts cover 7:00 am–7:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend, evening or overnight work. Applicants should have a valid Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle with third‑party insurance, along with First Aid and CPR certificates.

Competenze

• Australian Driver’s Licence with a reliable vehicle and third‑party insurance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates ( HLTAID011 / HLTAID009 ).

Mansioni

• Domestic assistance including meal prep and light housekeeping.
• Personal care including showering and daily hygiene.
• Assist with community access to medical appointments and social activities.
• Support clients with daily tasks and routines.
• Build positive relationships with clients and their families.
