Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Adelaide is seeking an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant to support older Australians at home, travelling between client locations within a 30-minute radius. Shifts run 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a minimum 2-hour block.

No weekend or sleepover shifts; entry is flexible with full training. Candidates with or without formal qualifications can apply, and the role offers kilometre reimbursement and a pathway to broader care responsibilities with training.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, reliable and eager to help others.
• Great communicators who enjoy building relationships.
• Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and have access to a vehicle.
• No formal qualification required; full training provided.
• Flexible casual work with weekday shifts only.

Responsibilities

• Domestic assistance, including light household cleaning and meal preparation.
• Social support and companionship.
• Building positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Supporting clients to maintain their independence and wellbeing.
• Opportunity to progress into personal care with training.
