Job summary

Infinite Aged Care is seeking a Casual Cook for our Hahndorf care home in South Australia. You will prepare nutritious meals, supervise kitchen staff, and maintain a safe, welcoming kitchen to support resident wellbeing.

Role requires daily physical activity and adherence to food safety standards, with opportunities to lead seasonal menus and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Committed to safety, upskilling, continuous learning and resident-focused care.
• Previous experience in Aged Care or Health is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for residents.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure a hygienic kitchen.
• Use quarterly seasonal menus to provide variety and maintain quality.
• Oversee food purchasing, stock control and kitchen operations.
• Cater for special occasions and community events.
• Maintain safe, clean and organised kitchen operations.
