Job summary

South West Hospital and Health Service in Charleville, Western Queensland, seeks a Caseload Midwife to join our team on a temporary basis. The role focuses on providing midwifery care within a rural/remote health service setting and working from Charleville to support pregnancy, labour and newborn care.

Applicants will provide midwifery services aligned with NMBA standards and Queensland Health context of care, collaborating with women to deliver comprehensive care in a remote community.

Your opportunity

The Caseload Midwife provides midwifery services within the rural/remote health service setting. This position is located in Charleville and requires the successful applicant to work from this location.

The Caseload Midwife demonstrates competence in the provision of midwifery care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparations, relevant legislation and context of care.

The Caseload Midwife works in partnership with women to give necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period to conduct births and provide newborn care.

Charleville is a designated Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package (RANIP) site in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015. This attracts additional entitlements which may include:

• Additional annual leave per annum!
