South West Hospital and Health Service invites experienced midwives to join as Caseload Midwives in Charleville, Western Queensland on a temporary basis. The role delivers direct midwifery care within an all-risk model and supports a defined caseload with continuity of care, in consultation with the Unit Manager.

About This Role

Your opportunity

The Caseload Midwife practices autonomously within the multidisciplinary team to provide midwifery services within a rural/remote health service setting. The Caseload Midwife is responsible for delivering direct midwifery care in an ‘all risk' model whilst providing support and education to other team members.

The Caseload Midwife, in consultation with the Unit Manager, coordinates and provides continuity of midwifery care to a defined caseload of women, using primary health care principles and a problem-solving approach across the childbirth continuum.

Charleville Is a Designated Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package (RANIP) Site In Accordance With The Nurses And Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015. This Attracts Additional Entitlements Which May Include
