Job summary

CatholicCare NT is seeking a Case Worker based in Darwin/Berrimah to deliver outreach, assessments, and referrals for men’s DFV programs. The role focuses on engaging men who use violence and guiding them toward services that enable lasting behavioral change, while ensuring safety for affected family members.

Applicants should have qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Welfare Studies or related fields, with trauma-informed practice and Indigenous cultural competency.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Welfare Studies or Men’s Family Violence with substantial experience.
• Trauma-informed approach and cultural competency, especially with Indigenous communities.
• Experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and documenting observations.

Responsibilities

• Outreach in the community to engage participants and assess needs.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and referrals for immediate and longer-term needs.
• Engage men who use violence and support their participation in services that facilitate change.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, monitor risk and safety for family members.
