UnitingCare Queensland in Southport is seeking a Case Worker for our Gold Coast Homelessness Service – Immediate Housing Response program. You will deliver client-centred, trauma-informed case management to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, including support during housing crises.

The role is full-time until 30 June 2027, based at our Southport site, with opportunities for professional development and supervision within a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Cert IV Community Services related field.
  • Open Drivers Licence.
  • QLD Working with Children Check - Blue Card.
  • Bachelor Degree in a Human Services related field preferred.

We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Case Worker to join our Gold Coast Homelessness Service – Immediate Housing Response (IHR) program, based at our Southport site.

This is a dynamic, frontline role where no two days are the same and your work has a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives.

This is a fixed term full time role to June 30, 2027.
Your part in our UnitingCare team

As a Case Worker, you will support single people, couples, and families experiencing primary homelessness, delivering client-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed case management.

Our clients often experience complex and intersecting challenges, so experience or knowledge in domestic and family violence, child protection, AOD, and mental health is desirable, alongside essential case management experience.

You’ll work alongside clients during times of crisis, helping them maintain emergency motel accommodation while supporting them to work towards their goals and secure longer-term housing outcomes.

Requirements
  • Cert IV Community Services related field.
  • Open Drivers Licence.
  • QLD Working with Children Check - Blue Card.
  • Ideally, you'll have completed or be working towards a Bachelor Degree in a Human Services related field.
