Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Case Manager for the FaDS team. This role supports vulnerable young people and families, with Aspire program involvement in Townsville. You’ll coordinate services, deliver intake assessments, and drive client-centred planning and counselling to improve outcomes.

You will work with other stakeholders to provide integrated responses, in a not-for-profit environment that values development, flexibility, and commitment to safeguarding children and families.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate qualification in a relevant human services field (Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or related).
  • Experience with therapeutic processes and practices, including ability to analyse, evaluate and recommend.
  • Experience providing youth support, counselling within a case management framework with outcomes for clients.

Employment Term: Maximum Term to 22 September 2027, Full-Time (38 hours per week)


Remuneration: $53.43 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team

The Aspire program, based in Townsville, provides free support to young people who are not being protected by their family, friends and communities.


As a Case Manager with the Aspire Program in Townsville, you will facilitate the development of quality practices and effective coordination of the service delivery, including group programs, to vulnerable young people accessing the service. In this role, you will work with youth to build capacity, connectedness, reliance, wellbeing, education outcomes, career options, safe and stable housing and positive family and community relationships.


The key responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Intake assessment

  • Client centred planning.

  • Counselling and therapeutic support

  • Case Management

  • Integrated Responses in partnership with other stakeholders in support of clients of Aspire.


What makes a difference for us?


  • A minimum of an undergraduate qualification in a relevant human services field i.e. Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or other Human and Behavioural Science discipline

  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated ability to utilise therapeutic processes and practices including the ability to analyse, evaluate and make objective judgments and recommendations.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing youth support, counselling and related responses within a case management framework with outcomes that enable clients to make informed choices in their lives.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of child and youth development particularly in relation to the effects of trauma, violence, grief

  • Current Qld Drivers Licence

  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
