Why this role matters

Every woman deserves to feel safe, supported and empowered to rebuild her life. At The Salvation Army’s Family Violence Stream, we provide compassionate, practical and accessible support to women and children escaping domestic and family violence. You will walk alongside women during some of their most challenging moments, helping them rebuild confidence, strengthen their safety and work towards a brighter future.

About the role

We are excited to be recruiting three passionate and dedicated full-time Case Managers to join our Far West Family Violence Service. You will provide compassionate, client-led support to women and children impacted by domestic and family violence. You’ll empower clients to develop personalised case plans, access essential services, enhance their safety and work towards stable accommodation, recovery and independence. This rewarding and varied role also involves conducting risk assessments, advocating for clients, building strong partnerships with community services and supporting the day-to-day operations of our refuges.

Salary and employment conditions

How you will make an impact
  • Provide welcoming, responsive support to women and children accessing refuge and outreach services.
  • Build trusting relationships and deliver culturally safe support, including to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, respecting connections to community, Country and culture.
  • Assess client needs and risks, develop and review client-led case plans, and provide trauma-informed case management and advocacy.
  • Connect clients with essential services and community supports to promote safety, recovery and stable accommodation.
  • Maintain accurate client records, identify risks and service gaps, and work collaboratively with partner agencies.
  • Contribute to refuge operations, team meetings, community engagement, supervision and training.
  • Participate in a rostered after-hours on-call service, including the ability to return to site within 30 minutes when required.
What you will bring
