Job summary

Frontline Support Services in Cairns, QLD is seeking a dedicated Case Manager on a subcontracting ABN basis. You will coordinate and deliver support services to vulnerable children, young people and families, working with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored care plans and advocate for access to resources.

The role requires a relevant tertiary qualification and minimum 2 years of case management experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of child protection legislation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field (or currently enrolled).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Case Management or similar role within the community services sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and professional relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex situations and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of child protection legislation, reporting obligations, and trauma-informed practice.
• Current driver's licence, valid Blue Card, Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening, and ABN.

This is a subcontracting role (ABN required), offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, young people, and families within the community. Key responsibilities

• Coordinate a range of support services, including referrals, advocacy, practical assistance, and stakeholder engagement
• Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure appropriate supports and resources are accessed
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver holistic, client-focused care
• Maintain accurate and detailed case notes and documentation in line with organisational policies and compliance requirements
• Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
• Participate in an afterhours on-call roster shared within the case management team

About you
