Job summary

Swinburne University of Technology seeks an experienced carpenter to translate years of trade experience into practical, hands-on training for Certificate II, pre-apprenticeship, VETiS and the Certificate III apprenticeship program. You will mentor students, share industry knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.

You hold a Certificate III in Carpentry and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), with current industry experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116
• Certificate III in Carpentry
• Experience delivering practical carpentry training to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training across Certificate II in Building and Construction and related programs (pre-apprenticeship, VETiS, and Certificate III apprenticeship).
• Mentor students and develop engaging, practical training materials.
• Create safe, inclusive learning environments and assess student progress.
