Love carpentry but looking for a way off the tools without leaving the trade behind?
Blue Dog Training is looking for experienced Carpenters who are ready to take their trade knowledge and help develop the next generation of apprentices.
No training experience? That's okay.
If you've spent years on site, take pride in your trade, and enjoy helping others learn, we'll support your transition into training, including mentoring support and assisting you to attain the required Cert IV TAE qualification to train and assess.
It's three years from now.
An apprentice you've worked with walks onto site with confidence. They communicate well, take pride in their work, understand the importance of quality workmanship and know what's expected of them on the job.
Their supervisor notices the difference.
They come prepared. They ask good questions. They think ahead. They care about getting it right.
They were shaped by experienced tradespeople who took the time to pass on what they've learned.
That's where you come in.
As a Trainer and Assessor with Blue Dog, you'll work directly with apprentices, sharing real-world carpentry knowledge, supporting their development and helping them build successful careers in the construction industry.
Blue Dog Training is one of Queensland's leading construction and engineering RTOs, with a reputation for practical, industry-led training.
We know great trainers come from industry, which is why many of our trainers started exactly where you are now: qualified tradies looking for a new challenge.
We'll support your transition with mentoring, professional development, administration support and assistance obtaining your TAE qualification, so you can focus on developing the next generation of skilled carpenters.
Becoming a trainer doesn't mean giving up being a tradie.
It means using everything you've learned to make a lasting impact on the next generation of skilled carpenters.
