Job summary

SK Constructions in Melbourne is offering an apprenticeship for an aspiring carpenter to join our busy team. You will be mentored by qualified tradies and gain hands-on experience across framing, lock up and fix, external cladding and decking.

We value reliability, punctuality and a strong willingness to learn. Applicants should have basic hand tool knowledge and be able to travel to site. Preferred but not essential: white card and owning tools.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding carpentry tasks.
• Show reliability, punctuality and a genuine willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and safe operating practices.
• Interest in framing, lock-up and fix, cladding and decking.
• Ability to travel to work sites independently.

Job description

SK constructions has an opportunity for an apprentice carpenter to join the team.

We specialise in all aspects of carpentry from framing, lock up and fix to external cladding and decking.

Excellent opportunity to join a busy crew and learn from qualified tradies in a supportive environment.

To be successful you will need to have the following:

• Ability to undertake physically demanding work
• Be reliable and punctual
• Very keen to learn
• Have a basic knowledge of hand tools
• Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in carpentry
• Ability to get to and from work independently

Preferred but not essential:

• Driver licence & Own car
• A white card
• Completed a pre-apprenticeship
• Own tools

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
