Job summary

Aarons Outdoor Living in Melbourne is seeking skilled and motivated carpenters, including apprentices, to join our growing residential and commercial teams.

This hands-on role covers frame-to-finish carpentry, decking, cladding and outdoor structures across a range of projects. You must have own tools, a current driver’s licence, White Card, and be able to work both independently and with a crew.

Immediate start, Monday to Friday, hourly rate negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Qualified carpenter or actively working toward carpentry qualification.
  • Read and interpret plans and set-outs.
  • Previous experience in a similar carpentry role.
  • Must have own tools, reliable vehicle and a current driver\'s licence.
  • White Card required.
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent time management and tool/site maintenance.
  • Maintain high workmanship and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Construct granny flats, studios and outdoor structures from frame to finish.
  • Assemble steel and timber frames.
  • Carry out fix carpentry (skirtings, architraves, doors, hardware).
  • Install external cladding and finishes.
  • Build decks, pergolas, forts and cubby houses.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team on residential and commercial projects.
  • Maintain a safe, clean site and follow OH&S procedures.
  • Be punctual and prepared to work.

Aaron's Outdoor is a growing Australian company delivering high quality residential and commercial construction projects across the country. With continued growth across both divisions, we are looking for apprentice and qualified carpenters to join our expanding team.

Our residential division specialises in the construction of granny flats, studios and outdoor structures, delivering both steel- and timber-framed builds from frame stage through to turnkey completion.

Our commercial division delivers a range of projects including decking, pergolas, playground equipment, forts, cubby houses and playscapes for childcare centres.

This is a hands on role suited to motivated individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and want to be part of a fast growing company with diverse projects.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified carpenter or currently completing an apprenticeship (must be actively working toward qualification)
  • Read and interpret plans and set-outs
  • Previous experience in a similar carpentry role
  • Must have own tools, reliable vehicle and a current driver's licence
  • White Card required
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Work independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent time management and maintain tools, site cleanliness and safe work practices
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and presentation
Duties & Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Construction of granny flats, studios and outdoor structures from frame to finish
  • Steel frame and timber frame assembly
  • Fix carpentry (skirtings, architraves, doors, hardware)
  • Installation of external cladding and finishes
  • Building decks, pergolas, forts and cubby houses
  • Working alongside a skilled team across both residential and commercial projects
  • Maintaining a safe and clean worksite while following all OH&S procedures
  • Show up on time, ready to work
About the Role:
  • Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Immediate start available
