Job summary

Trico Services in Sydney is seeking a Carpenter / Fire Door Technician to join our fire services team, carrying out fire door installations, repairs, maintenance and rectification works across client sites.

The role requires a carpentry trade qualification, experience with doors and hardware, and the ability to work independently or with technicians. A valid driver's license and Construction White Card are expected; company van provided.

Qualifications

• Carpentry trade qualification.
• Fire door or passive fire experience is highly regarded.
• Able to troubleshoot door operation issues and deliver quality workmanship with attention to detail.
• Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently or alongside other technicians.
• Current driver's licence and Construction White Card.
• Prepare and paint fire doors and door frames, including surface preparation, sanding, priming and finishing to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace and repair fire doors, door frames and associated hardware.
• Complete rectification works involving hinges, closers, locks, latches, seals and door clearances.
• Carry out fire door inspections, identify defects and complete the required repairs.
• Undertake associated carpentry works, ensuring a clean finish and work completed to the required specifications.
• Record inspection findings, job notes and before-and-after photos using mobile job management system.
