Job summary

DW Door Solutions Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Fire Door Technician, experienced or junior, to join our team. We are open to someone learning the trade and providing training to a reliable, hands-on candidate.

The role covers installation, repair, and rectification across Sydney with site-based work. For experienced applicants, prior fire door or carpentry experience is preferred, with ability to work independently and communicate well with clients.

Qualifications

• Previous fire door, door installation, carpentry or passive fire experience.
• Confident installing doors, frames and hardware.
• Can work independently and manage their own jobs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Can problem-solve on site.
• Takes pride in their workmanship.
• Is reliable and communicates well with clients and the team.
• Relevant fire protection qualifications and experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Installation and replacement of fire doors.
• Installation of fire-rated door frames.
• Fitting door hardware including locks, closers and associated components.
• Fire door repairs and rectification works.
• Measuring and preparing doors for installation.
• Reading job sheets, plans and specifications.
• Working across a variety of commercial sites throughout Sydney.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site presentation.
• Collecting materials from warehouse/office.
