Job summary

ModX Pty Ltd in Rockhampton seeks an experienced full-time carpenter to join our construction team. You will build wall frames, floors, joinery, and display structures, interpreting drawings and ensuring accuracy and safety on site.

Requires 1–2 years’ carpentry experience, AQF Certificate III or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work in teams or alone in high-rise environments. We offer a stable, in-house project flow and competitive remuneration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of carpentry experience.

Responsibilities

• Build wall frames, partitions, floors, and platforms.

We are currently seeking an experienced full-time carpenter to join our construction team based in Rockhampton.

Annual salary range: $80,000 - $85,000 + superannuation

Key responsibilities

1. Building wall frames, partitions, floors, raised platforms, counters, cabinets, shelving, joinery and temporary and permanent display structures
2. Interpreting drawings to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation techniques
3. Cutting and assembling timber and other materials
4. Constructing and installing of joinery, wall paneling, counters, display units, and integrated signage features
5. Assembling or dismantling formwork
6. Assessing and making corrective adjustments to existing fittings
7. Evaluating materials and costs for replacing old equipment and installing new components
8. Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
9. Performing accurate calculations and measurements for assembling partitions

Skills and qualifications

1. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the field
2. Relevant AQF Certificate III or equivalent
3. Driver's License
4. Ability to use carpentry tools and handling small components requiring manual dexterity
5. Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
6. Strong understanding of carpentry techniques
7. Experience working with power tools
8. Ability to work efficiently within a team in high-rise environments
