Job summary

Fetch Recruitment partners with a leading Architectural Builder to recruit a full-time carpenter for architectural builds valued at $1–$3m. The role is based in Brisbane, within 10km of the CBD, and offers a competitive hourly rate with superannuation.

You will join a small team (6 staff) and work on unique projects across new builds, renovations and extensions, progressing toward leading hand carpenter and site supervisor roles.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Carpentry and minimum 3 years on high-end builds.
• Strong finishing skills and ability to interpret detail drawings.
• Proven leadership of small teams or as a leading hand.
• White Card, own tools, and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on carpentry across all stages - framing to detailed finish.

• Pre-site demolition and site set-out experience desirable.

About the Builder

Fetch has partnered with a leading Architectural Builder, seeking a full time carpenter to work on architectural builds between the value of $1 to $3m. The business is a family owned and run, who generally complete 3-4 unique projects a years across new builds, renovations and extensions. Our client prides themselves on providing a workplace that their employees enjoy coming to work and can enjoy work/life balance, while also offering career progression pathways to leading hand carpenter and site supervisor positions. The ideal carpenter will come from a high end residential background and will have a minimum of 3 years experience post their apprenticeship.

The Role

This isn't just your general carpentry position, every project you work on will be truly unique in itself. Our client is seeking a passionate Carpenter, that is proud of the company they work for and the work they deliver on a daily basis. Working alongside a team of Carpenters and a Site Supervisor, you will perform general carpentry tasks across framing, lock up and fix out stages. You will need to be able to think outside the box and adapt to change due to the complexity and challenges that these builds will bring. Experience in Architectural builds and plan reading is ideal, along with a keen eye for detail.
