• At least 1 year of relevant post-qualification work experience.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other building materials.
• Construct, install and repair frameworks, walls, roofs, flooring, staircases, doors and windows.
• Install skirting boards, architraves, cabinetry and other fixtures.
• Carry out formwork, cladding, decking and renovation work as required.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and building regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with WHS requirements.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and clients to complete projects on schedule.
