Job summary

CBR Formwork Pty Ltd in Turner, ACT is seeking a Full Time Carpenter to join our on-site team. You will read drawings, measure, cut and assemble timber for formwork and structural works, and help construct formwork, wall frames and flooring systems.

You should hold a Certificate III in Carpentry with 2–3 years of relevant experience in residential, commercial or construction projects. The role requires safe work practices, ability to work with Supervisors and other trades to meet project

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and site plans.
• WH&S knowledge and White Card required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project plans.
• Measure, cut and assemble timber for formwork and structural works.
• Construct and install formwork, wall frames and flooring systems.
• Erect and secure temporary and permanent structures.
• Install doors, windows and cladding as required.
• Maintain safety, quality standards and site cleanliness.
• Coordinate material requirements on site.
• Work with supervisors and trades to meet deadlines.

Full Time Carpenter

SALARY $85,000 plus Superannuation a year

DUTIES

• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project plans.
• Measure, cut and assemble timber and other building materials for formwork and structural works.
• Construct and install formwork, wall frames, flooring systems and other building components.
• Erect, align and secure temporary and permanent structures in accordance with project requirements.
• Install doors, windows, cladding and other carpentry elements where required.
• Carry out repairs, modifications and maintenance of timber structures and fittings.
• Coordinate material requirements and maintain efficient use of building resources on site.
• Work closely with supervisors, subcontractors and other trades to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, quality standards and construction specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and organised condition.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Certificate III or equivalent trade qualification in Carpentry 2-3 years of relevant carpentry experience in residential, commercial or construction projects are preferred

• Demonstrated experience in formwork, framing, fit-outs, flooring systems, cladding and general carpentry works.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and site plans.
• Proficiency in the safe use of carpentry tools, equipment and building materials.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements within the construction industry.
• Current White Card and valid driver's licence preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a construction team to meet project deadlines
