Job summary

IBA Steel is seeking a highly motivated Carpenter to join their team for ongoing residential and commercial projects across Queensland. The role covers structural and formwork carpentry, setting out, and related construction duties on-site.

The candidate will perform carpentry and formwork tasks, read plans, and work safely with hand and power tools. A minimum of two years’ experience and a Certificate III in Carpentry are required, along with a White Card and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Carpenter.
• White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry and formwork tasks to a high standard on residential and commercial construction sites.
• Read, interpret, and apply building plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Construct, install, and repair formwork, framing, doors, windows, fixtures, and structural outdoor features.
• Use and maintain hand tools and power tools safely, following WHS and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure construction sites remain safe, organised, and compliant with workplace safety requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, and join timber and other construction materials.
• Follow safe work method statements (SWMS) and adhere to all construction-site safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, trades, apprentices, and subcontractors

Our client, IBA Steel, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Carpenter to join their team. Infinite Reo is a specialist carpentry and steel-fixing company working across both residential and commercial projects. Their scope includes carpentry, formwork, steel-structure installations, and steel fixing, with ongoing and upcoming projects throughout Queensland. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to support their growing team.

The successful candidate will work across a variety of projects, undertaking structural and formwork carpentry, setting out, and other construction-related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform carpentry and formwork tasks to a high standard on residential and commercial construction sites
• Read, interpret, and apply building plans, drawings, and specifications

• Reliable transport and a valid Australian driver’s licence
