Job summary

Eureka Villages in Hervey Bay is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support our Chef and village team in providing nutritious, home-style meals while keeping a clean, safe kitchen for residents.

This permanent part-time role offers 25 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, at $28.87 per hour plus super. You will assist with meal preparation, dishwashing, cleaning and safe storage of food, while engaging positively with residents and following food safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, hospitality or cleaning environments is desirable.
• Understand food hygiene and safe food handling.
• Reliable, organised and able to follow procedures and instructions.
• Willing to obtain Food Handling Certificate if not already held.
• Able to work Sunday to Thursday roster.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with meal preparation and service
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Clean and sanitise food prep and dining areas
• Support safe storage, labeling and rotation of food
• Follow food safety, WHS and chemical handling procedures
